Job summary

Armorous is actively seeking an Armed Security Officer to safeguard properties, deter crime, and ensure the safety of various sites. You will perform access control, deter theft, and conduct hourly patrols, requiring vigilance, decisive thinking, and strong communication.

Shifts run Saturdays and Sundays 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with 16 hours per week plus opportunities for additional shifts. Weekly direct deposit and comprehensive benefits support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Firearm Permit required.
• 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
• 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Equipment: Tactical vest, handcuffs, Baton or OC spray.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Remain alert and proactive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Job Description:

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for access control, deterring theft, and hourly patrols.

Shifts:

Saturday - - - 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sunday - - - 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
16 Hours Per Week+ Opportunities for additional shifts

Compensation:

$26.00 per hour

Armed Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card & BSIS Firearm Permit (required).

  • i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
  • 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Required equipment: Tactical vest, handcuffs, and a less-than-lethal device such as a Baton or OC spray.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
