Armorous is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the Recycling Yard in California. You will safeguard properties, deter theft, and patrol hourly while maintaining access control and communicating with the team.

Updated pay rate is $27 per hour. The role requires BSIS compliance and 8-hour initial plus 32-hour CE training, with opportunities for additional shifts and weekly direct deposit in a benefits-rich environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on graveyard or night shifts preferred.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Position/Titles:

• Armed Security Officer for Recycling Yard

Job Description:

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for access control, deterring theft, and hourly patrols.

Shifts:

Wednesday - - - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Thursday - - - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
16 Hours Per Week+ Opportunities for additional shifts

Compensation:

$26.00 per hour

Armed Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Armed Security Guard Qualifications:

• Current with BSIS Compliance
  • i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
  • 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Required equipment: Tactical vest, handcuffs, and a less-than-lethal device such as a Baton or OC spray.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.

In accordance with California BSIS regulations, all officers are required to complete and maintain proof of 40 hours of certified training (8-hour initial + 32-hour continuing education). Proof of certificates is required before onboarding.
