Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for Fort Wayne, IN. You will patrol at a utility location, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service. Pay rate is $18.20 per hour with day and weekend shifts. Applicants will undergo background checks and a drug screen as required by law, and a valid driver’s license may be needed

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and other security-related matters.
