Job summary

Allied Universal in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Part-Time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol to protect our technology site and staff. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver friendly, professional service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors according to site procedures, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Observe and report potential security-related concerns, facility issues, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
