Job summary

Allied Universal in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Security Officer Screening Checkpoint to serve clients and safeguard facilities at a logistics and distribution location. You will screen personnel and visitors, monitor access points, and report security concerns, delivering professional customer service with integrity and teamwork.

The position is full-time with a night schedule (Mon-Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun 10:00 PM–06:00 AM).

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and personal items as directed by site procedures, documenting discrepancies and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, loading areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support efficient operations through integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $19.04 / Hour

• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
