Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Overnight Responder in Mesa, AZ. You will provide customer service to staff and visitors while patrolling and monitoring access points at a technology-focused corporate site.

This full-time, overnight shift role requires a valid driver's license and adherence to security procedures. Training, equipment, and opportunities for growth are provided by Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location, following site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating per procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, parking, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs of incidents and patrols.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $21.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site policies, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
