Job summary

Allied Universal in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Manufacture Protection to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom environments. You will monitor and patrol, maintain a visible presence, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass background checks and drug screening, with licensing if required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required; valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner with proper escalation.
• Report maintenance concerns and security-related issues observed during patrols to management.

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Thur 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established escalation protocols.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues observed during patrols to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
