Job summary

Four Seasons Chicago seeks an On Call Security Officer to support the Security Team in keeping guests, staff, and property safe. You will participate in daily operations, monitor entrances, and respond to events with a calm, professional approach.

You will communicate with hotel leadership, perform patrolling duties, and prepare incident reports when needed. This role requires strong presentation, stamina to stand long shifts, and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent personal presentation and guest-facing interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lb.
• Valid work authorization for the U.S.
• Previous security experience in a luxury hotel setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑shift meetings to receive daily updates and maintain continuous knowledge.
• Perform bag checks for employees or vendors when required.
• Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel, residence and office space.
• Investigate incidents and accidents occurring in the hotel, and create incident reports of guest and employee accidents and incidents.
• Assist in handling unusual guest or employee problems such as noise complaints, disorderly conduct, theft, power failures, etc.
• Assist the Security Supervisors and Director of Security in protecting guests, patrons and associates, enforcing hotel rules, regulations and policies.
• Provide assistance at ground‑level entrances to ensure smooth pedestrian and vehicular traffic while promoting a welcoming environment.

The On Call Security Officer is part of the Security Team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for guests, personnel and property. The Security Officer participates in day‑to‑day security operations, ensures the safety of all guests, persons and property, and works closely with local law enforcement, hotel staff and guests.
