Job Description

As a Security Officer Office Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic technology location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, report observations, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and stakeholders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and vendor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.


• Support protection of technology assets, sensitive work areas, and company property by following post orders, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and communicating security-related concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
