Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is seeking a Security Officer Campus Patrol to safeguard tenants and visitors while delivering friendly customer service. You will patrol retail spaces, observe entrances, and respond to incidents according to site procedures.

This full-time day shift pays $21.50 per hour and requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. A guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail customers by carrying out site‑specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and security hazards per site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver welcoming customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
