Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, receiving locations, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry/exit protocols.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and document actions taken.
• Observe and report conditions affecting operations and communicate with appropriate personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Government Building Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a technology-focused location, helping to maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $24.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with appropriate entry and exit protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, including concerns involving deliveries, documents, or restricted areas, while maintaining professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
