Allied Universal in Johnston, RI is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Hazard Observation Patrol to protect a technology-focused facility. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible, reassuring presence.

Job is full-time with night shifts; you will monitor access, respond to security concerns, and report incidents per site procedures to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Unarmed Hazard Observation Patrol in Johnston, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office spaces, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with credential and entry procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and shift handoff information.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
