Allied Universal in Seattle, WA is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol government facilities and protect clients. You will provide courteous customer service, control access, log incidents, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires a minimum of one year in security, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required as applicable by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. Pay Rate: $26.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM


• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM


• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM


• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security-related policies at government facilities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.


• Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized-access points; verify credentials as directed; and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and activity logs.


• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.


• Communicate clearly with site representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while preparing complete and timely reports of security-related observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Handcuffing certification is preferred.


• X-ray screening experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
