Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Elkridge, MD, to protect clients across healthcare settings and maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role features daytime to evening shifts, a full-time schedule, and a competitive hourly rate of $18.36. You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, monitor access, and report activities, while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to the appropriate site contacts.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
