Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA. You will monitor campus areas, patrol assigned sites, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors while enforcing access control and security policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following site procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly following procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift handoffs per site requirements.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Job Schedule:

Wed 02:15 PM - 10:15 PM
Thur 02:15 PM - 10:45 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
