Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA. You will provide security for a premier retail center, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting visitors, tenants, and staff with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role is full-time with a swing shift, paying $22.00 per hour. Applicants should have at least one year in security, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and employees by following security procedures and location policies.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, suspicious activity, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, parking structures, and exterior grounds to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report maintenance concerns or violations.
• Assist with directions, lost property inquiries, and communicate with management and local responders while documenting activities.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center environment.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking structures, walkways, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Assist with customer directions, lost property inquiries, and communication with management, tenants, and local responders while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
