Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA to protect clients across retail/malls. You will patrol by vehicle and on foot, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors and tenants.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols to help maintain a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document activities and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, traffic and parking-related concerns, and provide directions or assistance to support a positive guest experience.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
