Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA. You will provide service to tenants and shoppers, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and assist visitors while representing Allied Universal’s culture of integrity and teamwork.

The role is full-time with an overnight shift, offering the opportunity to work in a premier retail/mall setting with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and caring culture through teamwork, clear communication, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and exterior grounds to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting visitors, and documenting incidents and daily activities in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
