Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Loss Prevention) in Salinas, CA. You will monitor a retail location, deter security incidents, and deliver quality customer service to customers, employees, and visitors.

Shifts are Sat and Sun 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. The role involves patrolling, observing access points, and promptly reporting incidents with professionalism and calm problem-solving.

Competenze

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

As a Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving customers, employees, deliveries, and store operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help identify and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
