Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Loss Prevention Patrol in Northborough, MA to protect clients across industries. You will patrol facilities, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to site policies and procedures. Position Type: Full Time with a schedule including evening shifts.

Pay rate is $20.44 per hour. Must be 18+ and able to undergo background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal conducts background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of technology workplace facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor access activity and report suspicious conditions or incidents per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and responders.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology workplace facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and report suspicious conditions, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
