As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Monitoring in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and site procedures. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and driver credentials, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support the orderly flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the location while maintaining professional communication with staff, contractors, and delivery personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
