Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Alarm Monitoring in Joliet, IL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to clients, visitors, and deliveries.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour, working Tue–Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM at a logistics and distribution site.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, distribution, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with directing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at the location while reporting hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Job Schedule:

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
