Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access concerns, delivery-related issues, and other site disruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and driver activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Facility Security in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:
