Qualifications

• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures and site policies, and participate in emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor and driver activity, and movement of vehicles and shipments as per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; report unusual activity or conditions.
• Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to security incidents and site activities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Emergency Preparedness in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, visitor and driver activity, and the movement of vehicles and shipments in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and site activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
