Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Sparks, NV. This role provides fixed shifts with additional pick-up opportunities, offering flexibility and potential to grow toward a full-time schedule.

You will protect a technology data center, perform access control, and respond to incidents with a professional approach. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, basic computer skills, and a willingness to obtain required licenses or certifications.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Experience with access control/badging is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology data center, following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, buildings, perimeter, and parking areas.
• Monitor and report security-related systems and access concerns per site procedures.
• Complete required reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Sparks, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, buildings, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor and report security-related systems, visitor activity, and access control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required reports, logs, and documentation accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Experience with access control/badging is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
