Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer at a technology data center. You will monitor, patrol, control access, and provide professional customer service while upholding site policies.

This role offers flexible weekend night shifts, CPR/First Aid preferred, and opportunities to learn our shift-claim system and advance within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology data center by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access activity and verify credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures, escalating irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
