Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Merritt Island, FL to support aerospace and defense operations at a front desk location. You will welcome visitors, verify credentials, and help maintain a secure environment while delivering exceptional service.

This full-time role requires at least one year of security experience, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Expect night-shift hours with a focus on safety, compliance, and teamwork.

• Ability to use a computer or tablet is a plus.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other guests by implementing security procedures at a front desk location supporting aerospace and defense operations.
• Monitor facility access by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor credentials, and maintaining visitor records.
• Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls, visitors, deliveries, and inquiries with a professional front desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and promptly notify site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and documentation; report unusual activity and policy violations to leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or other guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location supporting aerospace and defense operations.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor credentials, maintaining visitor records, and communicating entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls, visitors, deliveries, and/or inquiries while maintaining a professional and courteous front desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
