Job summary

Allied Universal, Lake Mary, FL, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access to welcome visitors and manage access control in a technology, media, and telecom environment. You will monitor entry activity, issue visitor passes, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a safe, secure workplace.

This role offers a full-time schedule with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $16.53 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required and licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk by following site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor credentials, issue passes, and log visitors.
• Answer calls, provide directions, and communicate professionally with site contacts and leadership.
• Observe activity, report suspicious behavior, and respond calmly to incidents.
• Support emergency response by following procedures and documenting incidents.

As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access in Lake Mary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service. Your visible, professional presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $16.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wednesday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Thursday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Friday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Observe front desk activity, report suspicious activity or security‑related concerns, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures, notifying appropriate personnel, and documenting incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
