Job summary

Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe is seeking a Lead Security Officer responsible for performing the duties of a Security Officer, supervising and training officers, and executing basic and advanced security functions along with Guest Services that reflect the company’s brand and core values.

You will supervise ongoing staff development, manage security operations, and contribute to a safe, guest-focused environment within the hotel and casino.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents in English.
• Must be able to obtain a Nevada gaming license.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Lead Security Officer to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer, as well as the supervision and training of officers and performing basic and advanced security functions and Guest Services for Golden Nugget/Landry’s Inc. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

• PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in military, law enforcement or gaming security or experience in any of the listed security disciplines, within a hotel/casino preferred.

Mathematical Skills

• Two or more years of customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

Work Environment

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
