Job summary

Golden Nugget Laughlin is hiring a Security Officer to provide a safe environment for guests and team members while protecting assets. The role requires patrolling properties, enforcing regulations, and delivering professional guest service.

You will read security reports, conduct investigations, and assist with emergencies including first aid when necessary. The position includes standing/walking for long periods and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• One year or more of law enforcement or security experience preferred.
• Red Cross or equivalent First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Requirements Include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the safety and welfare of all guests and employees.
• Responsible for maintaining order and keeping the peace on the property.
• Perform area-based security patrols in assigned areas throughout the property.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Exercise good judgment in solving problems and resolution of guest issues.
• Provide medical assistance to persons in need, including First Aid and CPR when necessary.
• Uphold and enforce gaming regulations, company policies, and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Read, interpret, and analyze security reports and other company documents daily.
• Based on location, may be required to conduct investigations into a variety of internal and external incidents and create detailed reports to reflect findings.
• Monitor incidents resulting in loss and investigate to determine the source of the loss.
• Work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the operation, including nights and weekends when necessary.
• Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
• This position requires standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Manager.
• Based on location, may be required to perform legal detainments when it is legal to do so.
• At times, may be responsible for verifying casino guests are of legal age before entering any gaming areas.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds at a time.

Qualifications

• One year or more of law enforcement, or security experience (preferred).
• American Red Cross or Equivalent Adult First Aid/CPR Certification or are able to obtain one upon hire.
• Have or are able to obtain any gaming license that may be required.
• Team Player with a guest first attitude.
