Job summary

Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe leads a Security Officer team to uphold guest safety and service standards at the property. The Lead Security Officer performs core security duties and supervises officers, while delivering personalized guest service aligned with Landry’s values.

The role requires strong leadership, training responsibilities, coordination with management, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies. A high school diploma and gaming license are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent English.
• Ability to supervise and train security staff.
• Proficient with Windows and Office applications.
• Must have a valid gaming license and be 21+.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Lead Security Officer to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer, as well as the supervision and training of officers and performing basic and advanced security functions and Guest Services for Golden Nugget/Landry’s Inc. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

• Must successfully complete American Red Cross or Equivalent CPR certification:
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Two or more years of experience in military, law enforcement or gaming security or experience in any of the listed security disciplines, within a hotel/casino preferred.

Two or more years of customer service experience preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

USD $20.50 - USD $21.50 /Hr.
