Job summary

Allied Universal, Fort Worth, TX, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for item screening at a logistics and distribution site. You will provide exceptional customer service while screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security concerns.

You will respond to incidents calmly, conduct patrols, and maintain documentation. Flexible schedule available with weekday and weekend shifts; prior security experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures, reporting prohibited items or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and freight movement areas to help support authorized entry and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
