Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Screening at our Fort Worth location to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will screen personnel, visitors, and materials, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service while following site procedures.

This full-time role pays $16.82 per hour and offers shift schedule Wed-Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; required background check, drug screen, and state licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering designated areas.
• Inspect shipments and report prohibited items or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and follow escalation procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Records in Fort Worth, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, help identify potential security‑related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas of the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
• Inspect shipments, packages, and personal belongings as required by site policy, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated work areas, loading zones, entrances, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and identifying security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least six months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
