Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Full Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Dallas, TX. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Position type is Full Time with a pay rate of $21.42 per hour. Minimum 6 months security experience and a high school diploma are required; CPR and licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecommunications and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, equipment areas, and the surrounding perimeter; environments may vary by location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
