Job summary

Allied Universal in Dallas, TX is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Guest Assistance role to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and more. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist customers, and support access control with professionalism.

The position offers day/evening shifts with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Minimum 6 months security experience and a high school diploma are required, plus background check and drug screen per policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with site procedures.
