Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) is recruiting a Security Officer II for the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center. The role involves monitoring alarms, patrolling facilities, and coordinating emergency responses to ensure resident and staff safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days. Evening and third-shift opportunities are available, with non-telework requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it within 90 days.
• Experience in security or protective services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and surveillance cameras and report incidents.
• Patrol buildings and grounds and verify identification at entrances.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with management and law enforcement as needed.
• Prepare incident reports and assist in training new security officers.
• Maintain security regulations and participate in mandatory trainings.
