The Texas Health and Human Services Commission's San Antonio State Hospital is seeking a Security Officer II to protect patients, staff and property. The role includes monitoring CCTV, patrolling facilities, and coordinating responses to emergencies. The position operates on Regular Night shifts with additional Evenings/Nights and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building or premise security and surveillance equipment.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid Texas driver license or obtain within 90 days after hire.
• Ability to communicate with potentially aggressive patients, visitors, and employees.

Responsabilités

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be scheduled for rotating shifts, extended shifts, and overtime as per agency policy.
• Monitors surveillance cameras for unauthorized persons, fires, and incidents and reports emergencies immediately.
• Coordinates emergency responses and information with hospital management and law enforcement as appropriate.
• Assists in apprehension of suspects for unauthorized entry or other violations where possible.
• Prepares timely incident and investigative reports related to emergencies or security incidents.
• Evaluates and recommends changes to security regulations.
• Performs other duties, including participation in disaster response or COOP activation, possibly involving alternate shifts or locations.
