Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is seeking Security Officers to protect the collection and ensure an inclusive visitor experience for all guests. You will patrol galleries, controlled areas and exterior doors, supporting crowd management during events while maintaining clear communication with the Command Center and following security protocols.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with multilingual abilities considered a plus and prior security experience

• Multilingual skills a plus.
• Prior security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to visitors, staff and volunteers.
• Perform routine patrols of galleries, exterior doors, laboratories and secure areas.
• Assist with crowd control during highly attended exhibitions and events.
• Report safety hazards or incidents to the Command Center and follow security protocols.
• Maintain awareness and confidentiality; demonstrate sound judgment in conflicts.
