Job summary

The Museum of Science in Boston is seeking a Public Safety Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment across our campus and garage facilities. You will patrol, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and support crowd management during events.

The role requires vigilance, teamwork, and the ability to act quickly under pressure. Candidates should have at least six months of security/public safety experience and a commitment to excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ experience in Security and/or Public Safety
• Ability to patrol and monitor premises and respond to incidents
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff meetings and trainings on Crisis Management Plan and emergency procedures
• Responds promptly to incidents to minimize safety threats
• Operates CCTV (CCure 9000 & Victor Client) and garage systems to ensure security and smooth access
• Documents incidents with detailed reports using iTrak
• Monitors traffic and assists guests with parking and entry/exit
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager
