Job summary

Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Identity Validation to safeguard clients across Logistics & Distribution. As a Screener at a busy site, you will screen personnel, visitors, and materials, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires at least 6 months of security experience, a guard card, and a high school diploma. You will participate in background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures; verify required identification and access authorization before entry.
• Monitor screening equipment and access points, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report findings according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
