Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Identity Validation in West Palm Beach, FL. You will screen personnel, visitors, and materials, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires at least 6 months of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures; verify required identification and access authorization before entry.
• Monitor screening equipment and access points, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report findings according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
