Job summary

Allied Universal in Irving, TX is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Identity Validation to safeguard clients by screening people, packages, and vehicles, monitoring access, and reporting security concerns. You will work a 1:00 PM–9:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, in a dynamic, service-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or more.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by screening per procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering the facility.
• Verify identification and access for entry to controlled areas.
• Monitor screening equipment and report security concerns to leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and conduct regular patrols of loading, dock, yard, and perimeter areas.

As a Security Guard Full Time Identity Validation in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and use technology to support daily operations. Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering the freight facility in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry to controlled areas, directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, suspicious activity, access concerns, and other security-related incidents to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned loading, dock, yard, and perimeter areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
