Job summary

Front Porch Communities & Services is seeking a Security Officer I to protect residents and staff at San Francisco Towers. You will patrol campus grounds, respond to alarms, and maintain safe conditions.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months of security experience; a Security Guard Card is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months security experience.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Patrols campus grounds, lobbies and access points for safety.
• Responds to fire alarms, emergencies and incidents promptly.
• Wears PPE and follows safety procedures; reports hazards.
• Maintains accurate shift logs and documents incidents.

Provides security services for residents and employees of the organization. Protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Security Officer I
• Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
• Patrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staff
• Responds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergencies
• Graciously warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and devises, reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Investigates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to supervisor and maintains a file on them
• Keeps accurate log of shift activities
• Occasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage rooms
• Familiar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster plan
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor
• Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs

• All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees
