Job Summary:

Provides a reasonably safe and secure environment by providing security services for staff, patients, visitors, and premises. Acts as a first responder to urgent facility matters.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Protects property and staff through interior and exterior rounds, observing safety and security issues, theft, and monitoring parking lots.
2. Promotes safety for visitors and employees by conducting door checks, detecting lighting deficiencies, assisting with disruptive individuals, patient restraints, and providing escorts.
3. Responds to requests for assistance, including escorting emergency personnel and providing post-mortem services.
4. Provides professional customer service, communicates proactively with clinical staff, and identifies safety hazards.
5. Reports security concerns, completes incident reports and shift logs.
6. Assists with property maintenance and safety checks, including alarm testing, safety equipment checks, and access control.
7. Enforces organizational policies and procedures.
8. Monitors, reviews, and investigates incidents using video systems.
9. May operate a motor vehicle for patrols.
10. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• Successful completion of a psychological assessment after conditional employment offer.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, standing, walking, and operating safety equipment.
• Relevant professional licenses or certifications depending on the state (e.g., driver license, security officer license, law enforcement certification).
