Job Summary:

Provides a reasonably safe and secure environment by offering security services for staff, patients, visitors, and premises. Acts as a first responder to urgent facility matters.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Protects property and staff by conducting interior and exterior rounds, observing for safety and security issues, theft, and monitoring parking lots.
2. Promotes safety by providing door checks, addressing lighting deficiencies, ensuring elevator operation, assisting with disruptive individuals, patient restraints, and providing escorts as needed.
3. Responds to emergency requests, including escorting personnel and providing post-mortem services.
4. Delivers professional customer service, managing complex situations and communicating with clinical staff about safety hazards.
5. Reports security concerns, completes incident reports and logs, and forwards them appropriately.
6. Assists with maintenance and safety checks, including alarm testing, safety equipment checks, and access control.
7. Enforces organizational policies and procedures.
8. Monitors and investigates incidents using video systems.
9. May operate a vehicle for patrols.
10. Maintains alertness and safety at all times.
11. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of relevant work experience.
