The role involves patrolling, access control, incident response, and supporting VIP transportation as directed by executive staff.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED; a valid driver’s license; and strong communication and teamwork.

• Valid driver’s license is required; some roles involve transporting equipment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of shift patrolling interior, perimeter, grounds, and public spaces to identify safety risks.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and secure restricted areas.
• Coordinate calm responses to emergencies, fires, hazards, and threats to life or property.
• Discretely assist VIPs, guests and international employees with information and safety escorts as directed.
• Document and securely store lost-and-found items and reunite property with owners.
• Perform traffic control and parking duties for guests, employees, vendors and visitors.
• Complete hotel security training and maintain proficiency in loss prevention procedures.
• Provide overnight security coverage for in-house groups and other occupants; ensure safety throughout the property.

Job Pay Rate: $17.50 / hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Spend the majority of the shift on foot, walking the interior, perimeter, grounds, parking structures, and public spaces of the hotel to identify safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Monitor entrances, verify staff credentials, manage visitor access, and secure doors or restricted areas.
• Coordinate calm, rational response to medical emergencies, fires, safety hazards, and threats to life or property.
• Discretely assist providing information and guide, also transportation, or safety escorts to VIP’s, guests and international employees as directed by the executive staff.
• Responsible for accurately documenting and securely storing lost-and-found items, as well as ensuring the proper reunification of lost property with its rightful owner.
• Perform duties related to traffic control and parking assignments for hotel guests, employees, vendors, and other visitors.
• Completes all required hotel security training and demonstrates ongoing proficiency in the procedures, responsibilities, and daily operations of a Loss Prevention Officer.
• Provides overnight security coverage for in-house groups and other hotel occupants, ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
• Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
• Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
• Previous experience in security-related or hospitality is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
• A valid driver’s license is required, as this role may involve transporting equipment across the Resort. Please note that all employees operating Broadmoor vehicles must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
• A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
