Qualifications

• New York State Security Guard License required.
• At least 1 year of security experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be needed before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

• Communicate professionally with individuals receiving services, visitors, staff, and public-agency personnel to support orderly operations.

As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government social-services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe and report unusual activity, and maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining orderly operations by communicating professionally with individuals receiving services, visitors, staff, and public-agency personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
