Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in Lees Summit, MO to protect patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, support access control, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and clear communication.

The position is full-time with a 06:00-14:00 or 02:00-10:00 shift pattern and a pay rate of $21.39 per hour. Applicants must meet hospital vaccination requirements and be prepared for background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening, and direction-giving in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

What You'll Do:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
