Job summary

Allied Universal in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a Security Officer for Morgue Patrol at a hospital. You will provide security for patients, visitors, and staff, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies according to hospital policies.

The role requires a security background, the ability to work in a hospital morgue, and compliance with vaccination and background checks. Full-time position with a defined shift schedule is available.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Ability to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal history considered with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical or behavioral emergencies calmly, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical or behavioral emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
