Job summary

Allied Universal is actively seeking a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Patrol in Leawood, KS to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare setting. The role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and reliable presence to deter incidents.

You will conduct rounds, monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and uphold hospital policies while providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
